About the LSSH
The Luxembourg Society for the Surgery of the Hand (LSSH) is an association dedicated to promoting the scientific, clinical and educational development of hand and upper limb surgery in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in Europe and internationally.
Our mission is to bring together healthcare professionals specializing in this field in order to promote the exchange of knowledge, the development of skills and the continuous improvement of patient care.
The LSSH is committed through six fundamental axes :
Organiser des congrès, cours, symposiums, formations et programmes collaboratifs avec d’autres sociétés afin de favoriser le développement professionnel continu.
Promouvoir et développer les connaissances médicales, chirurgicales et de rééducation relatives à la main et au membre supérieur.
Promouvoir des standards élevés de prise en charge des urgences et des pathologies de la main, en collaboration avec des institutions nationales et internationales.
Encourager les études cliniques, les registres et les publications scientifiques conjointes entre les services luxembourgeois et les partenaires internationaux.
Représenter la chirurgie de la main luxembourgeoise auprès des sociétés internationales et des organisations professionnelles.
Promouvoir une pratique médicale éthique, responsable et interdisciplinaire, dans l’intérêt des patients et de la santé publique, ainsi que soutenir et développer des actions humanitaires dédiées à la chirurgie de la main et à la reconstruction des membres.
Through its actions, the LSSH actively contributes to the evolution of techniques, the excellence of care and the influence of hand surgery in Luxembourg and beyond.
